This dirty chai latte is a twist on a traditional masala chai and an espresso latte - basically the perfect combination of tea and espresso. Dirty chai lattes are usually made with black loose leaf tea spiced with freshly ground spices like green cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, ginger and black peppercorns. They also contain a single shot of espresso and steamed milk. Get the dirty chai latte recipe below, add a shot of espresso and enjoy!

Ingredients

4 tbsp RawSpiceBar's loose leaf chai tea
1 cup water
2/3 cup milk
2 shots espresso or 1 cup black coffee
Honey, to taste (optional)

Directions

1. Bring water to a boil and add loose black tea in a tea container. Let steep for 5-10 minutes. Remove tea leaves.
2. Steam milk, honey and spices in a pot on the stove, 4-5 minutes. Add chai to milk. Finally, add sweetener and a shot of espresso in each mug. Garnish with whole spices if you're into a good photo and enjoy!
