Organic Bulk Whole White Peppercorns
White peppercorns are used far more frequently in French cooking than American and are often described in cooking as having a milder, but more lingering flavor. These organic bulk whole white peppercorns are hulled black peppercorns, so that nothing but the seed of the fruit remains. To do this, whole white peppercorns undergo a process called retting, where the berries are soaked in water until the outer skins break down and fall off.
