Masala Chai Recipes & Cooking Tips
Masala chai spices have permeated Indian culture for over 5,000 years and remains a staple throughout India, where it is typically served in hot milky tea after a main meal. These chai spices include rose petals, green cardamom, black peppercorns, star anise, fennel & cloves. Steep into your favorite black tea or bake into cookies, cakes or muffins.
So good to add just a pinch to some black tea, or to some milk to foam and make a chai latte.
I thought this would be an amazing addition to my baking spices. I must have gotten an uneven batch.. very heavy on cinnamon and it overpowered the blend. The only flavor that survived the baking process was cinnamon, which is lovely but not the only flavor that I wanted in my cakes. I have not used it in any hot drinks at this time. I will try blending it with some more of the spices in the blend to see if that saves it.
Makes tea just great. I really love the taste. Also I used it in came mixes. Wonderful flavor.
Excellent spice! We love this stuff. It's super concentrated (quite spicy and gingery), so a little goes a long way. Also makes great iced tea (mix with a small amount of hot water, then dilute with cold and add ice). Thanks, RawSpiceBar!
Love this Chai! I looked for a long time to find a chai that had enough spice but not sugar since the concentrates are always too sweet. It۪s amazing how little you need to make a cup.
