Furikake is a type of Japanese rice seasoning. You can find plenty of varieties of this seasoning blend but common ingredients include dried seaweed, sugar, salt, dried bonito, and sesame seeds. The term "furikake" literally means "to sprinkle", which is exactly how it is used to add extra flavor to dishes.
Cooking Tips: Furikake seasoning is a popular spice that is incorporated into rich dishes, noodles, and fried chicken. Modern uses of this seasoning includes sprinkling it on top of avocado toast, salads, smoked fish, and sushi bowls. Also try: shichimi togarashi.
This has a good umami flavor that perks up riced veggies and pretty much everything else.
Yum! I eat it right out of the bottle!
you get what you asked for...which is a good thing.
I originally ordered this product specifically for a recipe from a cookbook. Now I use it on everything! It is wonderful on rice, in soups, over vegetables, on steaks, as a rub on pork, anything you want to add extra seasoning to! I guarantee once you try this you will always have it in kitchen!!
Best rib rub out there. Truly fantastic if you eat rice. I only wish it was a little less expensive. However, it is worth the price. No other similar product is even close in taste.
