Advieh is a spice mixture that originates in Persian cuisine. Due to its origin, this spice blend makes use of spices that are native to the Persian Gulf such as cinnamon, cloves, turmeric, cardamom, cumin, ginger, and rose petals or buds. It adds a warm yet exotic flavor to any dish.
Cooking Tips: Advieh spice is typically used for seasoning traditional kebabs, roasted leg of lamb, rice pilafs, and meatballs. It is also commonly used in baking as a substitute for cinnamon. Pairs well with: memphis dry rub, and berbere.
I tried this on riced broccoli and also on riced cauliflower. It is amazingly good. Not like anything I have tried before. Planning to use it with lamb shanks.
Adds an excellent flavoring to all dishes. No one spice is overpowering. Very fresh and nicely sealed upon arrival. Unfortunately, once the interior packaging is opened, you will need to transfer to another bag, or find your own reseal tape. Hope they use tins soon for easier storage
I have finally found a nightshade free premixed curry powder. It is mild, yes, but the Persian Advieh is the perfect solution for me. I use two parts Persian Advieh and one part Garam Masala
Delicious with pork, love the aroma while cooking, savory flavor and no salt needed to the spices. This is one of my favorite restaurants so I expected the best and got it.
