An easy, super simple ground taco meat recipe with beef or turkey. Use our freshly ground taco seasoning or chili powder spices. An awesome dish for taco Tuesday or an easy weeknight meal. Use leftovers in a taco salad with fresh lettuce and enjoy!
1 lb ground turkey or beef
1 tbsp taco seasoning (or 1 tbsp chili powder plus 1/2 tbsp Mexican oregano plus 1/2 tbsp smoked paprika)
1 tbsp cider vinegar
1/2 cup water
Kosher salt and pepper, to taste
Corn tortillas, salsa, sour cream, pickled onions, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, optional
1. Add beef or turkey in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat and brown, 4-6 minutes. Add salt and taco seasoning or chili powder mixture and water. Reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, until liquid mostly absorbed, 8-12 minutes.
2. Add cider vinegar and brown sugar and simmer, 4-6 minutes. Serve on warmed tortillas with toppings of choice. Enjoy!
