Sundried Tomato Sauce & Pizza


YIELD: 1 cup and 1 large pizza
PREP TIME: 5 minutes
COOK TIME: 20 minutes
 
INGREDIENTS
RawSpiceBar’s Sundried Tomato Pizza Seasoning
1 tbsp olive oil
1 red onion, minced
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp sun dried tomatoes, minced
1 6 oz can tomato paste
1 cup water
1 can artichoke
2 pinches kosher salt
1/2 cup chopped blank and green olives
1 prepared pizza dough
3-4 cups mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
 
DIRECTIONS
  1. Heat large skillet over moderate heat. Add in olive oil and when hot, add in the minced onion and garlic. Stir until soft.
  2. Add in the minced sun-dried tomatoes, RawSpiceBar’s Sundried Tomato Pizza Seasoning and stir. Pour in the 4 tablespoons of white wine and let that simmer until reduced by half.
  3. Add in the entire can {6 ounces} of tomato paste and the cup of water. Switch over to a wire whisk and stir until combined. Reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer the sauce for 15 minutes before seasoning with kosher salt and black pepper.
  4. Pour in to a jar to cool and store in the fridge for a week, or use right away!
  5. Split and spread the prepared dough among two lightly oiled sheet pans.
  6. Spread desired amount of sauce among both pizzas. Then layer the cheese, tomatoes, artichokes, olives and finally the red onion. Give a good sprinkle of salt and pepper.
  7. Bake in a preheated 400 degree oven for 20-25 minutes, rotating the pans so the top and bottoms brown and crisp evenly. Let cool before slicing and serving.
