Overnight Oats - 6 Awesome Spices to Try - Vegan, Gluten Free, Paleo

Overnight oats are just rolled oats soaked overnight to absorb the liquid you put them in. This is a no cook recipe so a great breakfast on a hot summer day. These overnight oats can be mixed and matched with any of the below spices - so switch it up and see what you love. They're nutritious, packed with fiber and protein and will keep you full until lunch. 

Ingredients

1/2 cup rolled oats 
3/4 cup almond milk
2 teaspoons chia seeds
1 very ripe mashed banana
1 teaspoon maple syrup or honey (optional)
Pinch kosher salt, to taste

 

1 tsp any of RawSpiceBar's spices:
Apple pie spices
Pumpkin pie spices
Hawaij
Chai masala
Saigon cinnamon
Cardamom Summer

Directions

1. Add oats, milk, chia seeds to mason jar, resealable container or a bowl. 
2. Layer in mashed banana, spices, pinch salt and sweetener, if using.
3. Shake jar or mix and combine with a spoon. Seal and chill in fridge for at least 4 hours or overnight.
4. In the morning, serve with more milk as desired and top with fresh banana or other fruit. Enjoy!
