1/2 tsp RawSpiceBar's Mace, ground
1 1/2 lbs fresh, ripe peaches, peeled & sliced, about 3 c or 2 (16 oz) cans sliced peaches, packed in light syrup, drained
3/4 c granulated sugar
1 c all purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
3/4 c milk
2 lg eggs, lightly beaten
6 tbsp butter
Vanilla ice cream (optional)
- Heat oven to 375 degrees. In medium size bowl toss peach slices, 1/4 cup sugar and RawSpiceBar's Mace; mix well; set aside.
- In second bowl combine flour, remaining 1/2 cup sugar and baking powder; stir in milk and eggs until just blended. Place batter in 9" square baking pan; set pan in oven until butter is melted and hot.
