Homemade Labneh With Zaatar

This labneh recipe rivals even the best found at Israeli markets- and is super easy to make homemade- you just need a good quality olive oil, lots of freshly ground zaatar spices and greek yogurt.


2 tbsp RawSpiceBar's freshly ground zaatar spice
1/2 tsp lemon juice
4 tbsp olive oil
Sea salt
12 oz greek yogurt
2/3 cup fresh pomegranate seeds


1. Line a strainer with two cheesecloth and set over a bowl.

2. In another bowl, mix greek yogurt, salt, and lemon juice, then spoon into strainer and fold cheesecloth over to cover. Referigerate, 12-24 hours until thickened to preference.

3. Remove from fridge and transfer labneh to serving bowl. Drizzle generously with olive oil and sprinkle with za’atar. Serve cold, with raw or roasted vegetables, hummus or pita.
