Crispy Baked Tofu - Shichimi Togarashi
1 package tofu, firm or extra-firm
2 tbsp olive oil
Kosher salt, to taste
1 tbsp arrowroot starch or cornstarch
2 tsp any of RawSpiceBar's spices:
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
2. Wrap tofu in a kitchen towel or paper towels and place a heavy object on top, like a pan or cans. Let sit, at least 15 minutes, ideally 30 minutes.
3. Unwrap the tofu and dice into cubes, then place in a large bowl. Toss with olive oil, soy sauce, arrowroot or cornstarch starch and spices.
4. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
