Cardamom Hot Chocolate

Serves 4


1/2 cup dark chocolate, chopped
1 tbsp unsalted butter
4 cups milk
1 tbsp green cardamom pods, crushed
2 tsp vanilla


In a small saucepan, add milk & crushed cardamom pods over medium low heat and simmer, 10-12 minutes.

In a separate saucepan, add butter and chocolate over medium-low heat and stir until smooth. Add hot milk to chocolate pan in a stream and whisk until smooth. Remove from heat and strain cardamom pods. Add vanilla and serve with whipped cream and a dust of ground cardamom. Enjoy!
