8 Chicken Seasonings to Try For Juicy, Roast Chicken Breasts
Step 1: Brine Chicken
Fill a large bowl with warm water and add about 4 tbsp salt, let dissolve. Add 1 lb (about 4) boneless chicken breasts and allow to brine for at least 15 minutes, or up to 6 hours. Remove chicken from brine, rinse with cold water and pat dry.
Step 2: Brush Chicken
Brush chicken breasts liberally on either side with either 1 tbsp butter or 1 tbsp oil. Place chicken in a large baking dish or roasting pan.
Step 3: Choose a Chicken Seasoning
Playing with different types of chicken seasoning is where it gets fun. You can keep it simple with just salt and pepper but chicken really picks up the flavor of whichever seasonings you add. Step 4: Roast Chicken
Preheat oven to 450°F and roast chicken, 15-18 minutes, depending on thickness. Use an instant thermometer for your best bet.
(In the thickest part of the breast, it should be 165°F. Or, if you want the chicken to be a little bit browned and crispier on top, you can turn the broiler on high for the final 3-5 minutes and broil the chicken until it is cooked through and golden on top. Keep a close eye on the chicken so that it does not overcook and/or burn.)
Step 5: Let Rest
Tent a sheet of aluminum foil over pan for 5-10 minutes. Then, serve and enjoy!
